Kat (grumpy Kat as the children like to call her) is our Nursery Cook. Kat started working at Sunflowers in 2010. She had a brief sabbatical or ‘Gap Year’ in 2022, though came back to Sunflowers in 2023. She deals with all the day to day runnings of the kitchen and also likes to spend time with the children. Kat develops our wholesome and tasty menus and makes sure that all the children have the tastiest and most nutritional food they can. Kat is known for her excellent HUGE Yorkshire puddings and tasty flapjack!
Kat worlds hard to ensure that every member of staff has a kitchen induction and that we maintain our 5* Food Hygiene rating.
Kat has a level 3 Food safety Qualification.
