The food we serve each day is home made, with fresh ingredients and where possible, sourced locally. We serve breakfast, healthy snacks, a wholesome two course lunch and a light nutritious tea. All our home baking is free from refined sugars – replacing these with Honey, Dates or Maple syrup as more natural, less intense sweeteners. Fresh water is available for the children all day using individual water bottles. We have experience of catering for a wide range of dietary requirements and are happy to adjust our menus to ensure each child receives a balanced menu throughout the day. A typical days meals could be:
Breakfast – Cereal, Fromage Frais, Toast and fresh fruit.
Morning snack – Vegetable sticks and bread sticks with hummous and a cup of milk
Lunch – Chicken and Butternut Squash risotto with green beans and crusty bread – followed by Carrot Cake.
Afternoon snack – Apple and Pear Slices with a biscuit and a cup of milk.
Tea – Ham and Cheese sandwiches with cherry tomatoes and cucumber – followed by Flapjack and Melon.
We are able to meet most dietary requirements and have experience of providing food for Vegetarian, Vegan and Dairy free diets, Gluten Free Meals – including (when necessary) a Coeliac food preparation area.
We are able to provide a full list of allergens in all our food, however, Kat will work to develop individual meal plans with you if your child has an allergy or an intolerance.
We will fully support and work with you as your child progresses onto solid foods and with your own weaning program from home – Our Nursery Cook – Kat – will make time to find what you would like us to prepare for your child. All we ask is that you let us know your expectations, and we will work hard to meet them.
